Gregg Luke made pharmacy his career but he is enjoying a second career as a mystery/suspense writer.

Throughout his life he has written short stories. His first publishing success came with cartoons that were published in the New Era, Skin Diver Magazine, and Oceanographic Letter. After college he published articles in Destiny Magazine, the New Era, and Pharmacy Times. More recently he has ventured into writing novels. He was a Whitney Award finalist for his novels Do No Harm (2008), Altered State (2009), Blink of an Eye (2010), Bloodborne (2011), and Deadly Undertakings (2012). He also authored Survivors, The Healer, and contributed to Twisted Fate.

Luke was born on November 20, 1959, in Bakersfield, California. Throughout his childhood and young adulthood he lived in Santa Barbara, California. He studied biological sciences at Santa Barbara Community College, University of California Santa Barbara, and Brigham Young University. He earned a degree from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. He practiced in northern California briefly before he moved to Logan, Utah, where he is Director of Pharmacy for the Cache County Community Health Center.

Luke is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a full-time missionary to Wisconsin.
