Robert A. Boyd is an award-winning photographic illustrator. Much of his recent works are unique photos of temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he is a member.

Boyd has been a professional photographer since 1989. He had a thriving bridal business until his mother-in-law suggested that he use his talents to photograph the temples. The Salt Lake Temple was the first temple portrait he captured in December 2000. That image continues to sell well today. He has photographed more than sixty temples, and his family travels with him. [1]

Although he doesn’t have a favorite temple, he feels a special closeness to the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple because of its proximity to his home and his ability to see it often. He uses his darkroom and computer to turn his photographs into works of art.

Boyd has also photographed places of special interest to members of the Church of Jesus Christ, such as the Sacred Grove and Adam-ondi-Ahman.

He and his wife, Eleah, are the parents of five children and live in Utah.
