Trina Boice is an author, speaker, and teacher with wide-ranging skills and interests. She teaches at the world-famous Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School and online for BYU-Idaho. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Boice grew up in California. She is a twin, and she and her sister won a twin contest when they were 12 years old. Boice earned double bachelor’s degrees, in international relations and Spanish, from Brigham Young University. At BYU, she enjoyed diverse activities, which included president of the National Honor Society, and membership on the speech and debate team and ballroom dance team. She was also ASBYU Secretary of Student Community Services.

She also earned two master’s degrees, in health administration and community wellness promotion) from California College for Health, where she also received the Bernard M. Baruch Award from the Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine. She studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain and later served as a full-time missionary in Madrid.

She worked in Washington, D.C., as a legislative assistant. She wrote a column called “The Boice Box” for a newspaper in Georgia, where she lived for15 years. She has a real estate license, travel agent’s license, a ham-radio technician’s license (Ki6GZG), and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She is a member of LDStorymakers, the entertainment news editor for Bella Online, and a movie critic for Movie Review Maven. She loves to travel and has been a guest speaker at conferences and conventions for businesses, schools, and religious events.

Boice lives in Las Vegas with her husband, Tom, and their four sons. She has worked with the Boy Scouts of America and received their Godsend Award for their service. She was named California Honor Young Mother of the Year in 2004. That year she was also named as President George W. Bush’s Points of Light Volunteer for her national and international service projects.
