In his closing remarks at the 193rd Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct a temple in Hamburg, Germany.

The Hamburg Germany Temple will be the third house of the Lord in Germany. Hamburg is about 175 miles northwest of Berlin. The country is home to nearly 40,000 Latter-day Saints in about 150 congregations. Other temples in the country include the Frankfurt Germany Temple (rededicated in 2019) and the Freiberg Germany Temple (rededicated in 2016).[1]
