Casey Nelson Mormon Illustrator

Casey Nelson is an illustrator, writer, and director who has been working in the entertainment industry since 2000. In addition to illustrating books, she has created concept art. She has written, directed, and storyboarded for video games, directed voice acting, and has worked in screenwriting. She was a senior artist with The Walt Disney Company for almost fifteen years.

She is the illustrator of Heroic Stories from the Book of Mormon, My First Book of Temples, My First Book of the Latter-day Prophets, and several of the Believe and You’re There series. Casey has illustrated for The Friend, The New Era, and The Ensign magazines. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Brigham Young University and her Master of Fine Art degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. She was an instructor at BYU for six years.
