Laurie Lewis, under the name L. C. Lewis, is the author of several historical-fiction novels, including the Free Men and Dreamers series: Dark Sky at Dawn; Twilight’s Last Gleaming; Dawn’s Early Light; Oh, Say Can You See?; and Free Men and Dreamers. Under Laurie Lewis she writes romance and women’s fiction. She is the author of Unspoken and Awakening Avery. Her book The Dragons of Alsace Farm was named a 2016 Whitney Award Finalist, New Apple Literary’s 2016 Sole Medalist for Inspirational Fiction, and a B.R.A.G. Medallion for Inspirational Fiction.

Lewis was born and reared in Maryland. She worked for seven years as a science-education facilitator in the Carroll County Public School System. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
