Living Legends

Living Legends is a performing group at Brigham Young University. It was formed in 1971 by Janie Thompson and was originally called the Lamanite Generation. The group, made up of Native American, Polynesian, and Latino singers and dancers, perform to celebrate those cultures. The group also initially focused on encouraging education.

The original Lamanite Generation toured across the Indian reservations. In 1974 they toured the Eastern United States and the following year they toured Central and South America. Since then, Living Legends has performed around the world.
