The Book of Mormon
Nimrah is a character in the Book of Mormon. In the Book of Ether, he is noted for rebelling against his father, Akish, the wicked king of the Jaredites. His father, fearing that one of his sons had gained too much power, had him placed in jail where he starved to death. Nimrah, angry with his father, gathered a small number of men and fled to Ablom, to the house of Omer.
