On October 2, 2022, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct a temple in Ribeirão Prêto, Brazil. The temple is the 18th announced temple for Brazil.[1]

The Ribeirão Prêto Brazil Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be located in the São Paulo state of southeast Brazil. There are 1.5 million Latter-day Saints in Brazil in more than 2,100 congregations.[2]
