Philanthropies, a department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is responsible for philanthropic contributions to the Church and its affiliated programs and institutions, including Humanitarian Services, Brigham Young University (in Provo, Utah), Idaho (in Rexburg, Idaho), and Hawaii), Ensign College, and the General Fund for approved projects such as Church History, FamilySearch, and The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.
Members and friends of the Church and alumni of the educational institutions donate cash, stocks and mutual funds, real estate, intellectual properties, artwork, historical artifacts, and other items.
