Allan Forrest Packer is a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is a retired businessman who has worked for such companies as Boeing, Eaton-Kenway, and Auto Soft Corporation. He was vice president at O. C. Tanner, My Family.com, and iLumin. In April 2008, he was sustained to the First Quorum of the Seventy and was granted emeritus status on October 6, 2018. At the time of his call, he was an in-field representative for the Missionary Department of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Packer has served in numerous Church callings, such as full-time missionary in the Andes Mission, bishop, stake president’s counselor, high councilor, scoutmaster, president of the Spain Malaga Mission, and Young Men general board member.

He was born in Brigham City, Utah, on July 7, 1948, to Boyd K. Packer, former president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and his wife, Donna Packer. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electronics technology from Brigham Young University. He has devoted many years to Scouting, having served at both the district and council levels for the Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was awarded the Silver Beaver award. He has been involved in many civic and community activities.

Packer and his wife, the former Terri Anne Bennett, are the parents of eight children.
