Adney Y. Komatsu was a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1975 until his death in 2011. He served in the First Quorum of the Seventy from October 1, 1976 until he was granted emeritus status on October 2, 1993. At the time of his call, he had been serving as an Assistant to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles until the position was discontinued.

Komatsu was born on August 2, 1923, in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ at the age of 17 and was the first member of the Church of Japanese descent to become a bishop. He was the first person of Asian descent to serve as a regional representative, a mission president, and a general authority.

He presided over the Northern Far East Mission from 1965 to 1968. He served as president of the Tokyo Japan Temple from 1982 to 1985.

Komatsu and his wife, Judy, were the parents of four children. He died on February 23, 2011.
