Alan Rex Mitchell

Alan Rex Mitchell is an environmental soil physicist and has taught chemistry, biology, soil science and technical writing. He has conducted agricultural research with the USDA and Oregon State University. He holds a PhD in soil and environmental science.

He and his wife, Elizabeth Bennion Mitchell, and their children live on and work the historic Bennion Ranch near Vernon, Utah.

Mitchell is also the author of Angel of the Danube: Barry Monroe’s Missionary Journal, which won the Marilyn Brown Novel Award. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has also written Melchizedek’s Seal and Scroll, The Seal of Melchizedek: The Modern Rebirth of an Ancient Symbol, and The Coming Calamity: Global Economic Crisis and Latter-day Prophecy.
