Amaron is a character in the Book of Mormon. The son of Omni, he wrote a brief annotation in Book of Omni. He is most noted for keeping the Small Plates of Nephi given to him by his father. He continued the record in 279 B.C. by making a brief note stating that, due to the judgments of God, the more part of the wicked Nephites had been destroyed in his time. He concluded his annotations by giving his record to his brother Chemish [1].
