Amaron is a character from the Book of Mormon. The son of Omni, he wrote a brief annotation in Book of Omni. He is most noted for keeping the Small Plates of Nephi given to him by his father. He continues the record in 279 B.C. by making a brief note stating that, due to the judgements of God, the more part of the wicked Nephites had been destroyed in his time. He concludes his annotations by giving his record to his brother Chemish [1].
