Benson Y. Parkinson

Benson Y. Parkinson is an author and editor. With Chris Bigelow, he founded Irreantum, a journal that explored Mormon literature. He has authored two novels, The MTC: Set Apart (1995) and Into the Field (2000). He also penned a biography of his maternal grandfather, S. Dilworth Young: General Authority, Scouter, Poet.

Parkinson, also a literary critic, earned a degree from Brigham Young University. He founded AML-List, a discussion list sponsored by the Association for Mormon Letters. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He and his wife and five children live in Ogden, Utah.
