The growth in that new mission necessitated the opening of two more missions and Brockbank presided over the Scottish-Irish Mission. While a General Authority, he served as Managing Director of the Mormon Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair; the Hemisphere in San Antonio, Texas; the “Man and His World” exhibit in Montreal, Canada; and Expo ’70 in Osaka, Japan. Bernard P. Brockbank Sr. was a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as an Assistant to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from October 6, 1962, until the position was eliminated on October 1, 1976.
