Bonnie Lee Green Oscarson

Bonnie Lee Green Oscarson was sustained as the fourteenth General Young Women’s President at the April 2013 conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was released on March 31, 2018.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Theo James and Jean Stringham Green. She lived much of her married life in St. Louis, Missouri, where her husband was raised, and also lived in Texas, New England, Sweden, and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Her church experience includes callings in ward (congregational) Young Women’s programs and in Seminary, a scripture study program for high school students which is taught most school days. She lived in Sweden from 1976 to 1979 while her husband served as a mission president. She again lived in Sweden from 2009 to 2012 when she served as the matron for the temple there. She speaks fluent Swedish.

She is a graduate of Brigham Young University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English, with an emphasis on British and American literature.

Bonnie Oscarson is married to Paul Kent Oscarson and they have seven children. They were married in the Salt Lake City Utah temple.
