Bruce Lindsay

Bruce Lindsay is a retired television news anchor and is best known for his work with KSL TV in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Lindsay obtained his bachelor’s degree in broadcasting from Brigham Young University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Utah. He joined KSL as a reporter in 1978. Within a year he was promoted to co-anchor with longtime anchor Dick Nourse. At the time of Lindsay’s retirement in 2012, he was the main anchor for weeknight broadcasts, a position he held since the retirement of Nourse in 2007. He also created and hosted “Sunday Edition with Bruce Lindsay” from 2010 until 2012. He was honored with an Emmy award for his coverage of the 1980 Democratic Convention. He is also the author of The Hometown Weekly: Good News For a Change and The Christmas List of Richard Lindsay.

In July 2012, Lindsay began his three-year service as president of the Australia Perth Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had also previously served as a bishop and as a counselor in a stake presidency. As a young man he served as a missionary in French Polynesia.

Lindsay was born in San Francisco in 1950 to Richard P. Lindsay and his wife, Marian. Bruce and his wife, Shari, are the parents of six children.
