C. Paul Andersen is a playwright, director, and producer. He founded the Pioneer Courthouse Players Repertory Theatre Company and directed the Old Barn Theatre in Kanab, Utah. He consulted with other southern Utah communities in founding summer theater programs. He also served as a member of the board of directors of the Dixie Center.
Andersen holds a PhD in theatre production and dramatic literature from Brigham Young University. He taught at various Utah high schools and BYU Hawaii. He was Director of Theatre and Dean of Fine and Performing Arts at Dixie State College. He was honored with a citation from Utah governor Michael O. Leavitt for his lifelong contributions to theater and the arts in Utah.
He is also the author of two novels, Voice in the Night and Final Act.
Andersen is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Kathleen, are the parents of four children.
