Clinton L. Cutler was a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Second Quorum of the Seventy from March 31, 1990, until his death from cancer on April 9, 1994. At the time of his call as a General Authority, he had been presiding over the Washington Seattle Mission.
Cutler was born on December 27, 1929, in Salt Lake City. He attended Utah State University on a basketball scholarship and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. His business career was with Mountain Bell (US West Communications) and retired as assistant vice president in 1986.
He served in the Church as regional representative of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, stake president {twice}, counselor in a stake presidency {twice}, bishop, Aaronic Priesthood adviser, and counselor in an elders quorum presidency. While serving in the Seventy, he also served as second counselor in the Sunday School general presidency from October 1991 to August 1992 and as first counselor from August 1992 until his passing. He was also an assistant director of the Family History Department.
He and his wife, Carma, were the parents of ten children.
