The Cody Wyoming Temple was among the temples announced by President Russell M. Nelson on October 3, 2021, at the October general conference. It will be the third temple in Wyoming, the two others are the Star Valley Wyoming Temple (dedicated in 2016) and the Casper Wyoming Temple (under construction).
Cody is located in the northwestern corner of Wyoming near the border of Montana.
