Crystal Close received her first drawing and painting lessons from her father when she was eight years old. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento, and her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Davis. She has taught college-level art history and studio art courses.
She has shown her art nationally and her work is included in public and private collections. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her work.
She lives and paints in Sacramento, California. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
