A large multi-purpose room in the center of a Church meetinghouse usually comprising of a basketball court and a stage, although some smaller buildings omit the stage or may only have a half-court basketball court due to space and design considerations. Cultural halls are where activities take place that are not appropriate for a chapel (such as sports, ward parties, etc.) Cultural halls also can double as overflow in many cases for larger church meetings such as Stake Conference. Another term for the cultural hall seen in some newer Church meetinghouses is 'Cultural Center'.
