David L. Buckner was called to serve as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was sustained on April 6, 2024, during the opening session of general conference.
Elder Buckner was born in Ogden, Utah, on September 27, 1963, and currently lives in New York, New York. He and his wife, Jennifer, are the parents of five children.
Elder Buckner received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Brigham Young University in 1988 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Durham University in 1991.
