Deanne Blackhurst Mormon Author

Deanne Blackhurst is the author of Slight of Hand, The Madera Murder, and Turning Hearts.

She was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in the Bay Area of California, although she lived briefly in New Providence, New Jersey. She studied at Brigham Young University, majoring in drama, communications, creative writing, and family sciences. She has been a freelance writer in a variety of genres.

Deanne is a sister to author Jeff Savage. She and her husband, Kent, are the parents of six children. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
