Desdemona Wadsworth Fullmer McLane was an original member of the Female Relief Society of Nauvoo.

She was born on October 6, 1809, in Huntington Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, to Peter and Susannah Fullmer. She was baptized in 1836 and lived in Kirtland, Ohio, and Caldwell County, Missouri, near the Hawn’s Mill settlement. In Nauvoo, she resided in Joseph Smith’s household and became one of his plural wives in July 1843. After his martyrdom, she married Ezra T. Benson and migrated to the Salt Lake Valley in 1848 where she divorced him. She then married Harrison Parker McLane and moved to Ogden, Weber County. She later divorced him as well. She died in Salt Lake City on February 9, 1886.
