Diane Stringam Tolley is the author of the novels Carving Angels, Daughter of Ishmael, Ghost of the Overlook, Kris Kringle’s Magic, SnowMan, Gnome for Christmas, and A House Divided. She also wrote Essence, Essence 2, and Words. With Megan S. Tolley she wrote High Water: History Has a Brush with Magic.

She was born and raised on a ranch in Southern Alberta, Canada, and gained an education in journalism. She has also written numerous, plays, short stories, articles, and songs. She and her husband, Grant, raised six children. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
