Eileen Gibbons Kump, writing under the names Eileen Kump, Eileen G. Kump, and Eileen Gibbons, is the author of numerous short stories. In Bread and Milk and Other Stories (1979) she employs a chronological sequence to portray the life of one woman, Amy Taylor Gordon, from age eight (at the time of the Edmunds-Tucker Act) to her death many years later. It is considered possibly the finest LDS historical story written.
