Emily Belle Freeman was sustained as Young Women General President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2023.
She is a bestselling Latter-day Saint author and inspirational speaker. Her book titles include 21 Days Closer to Christ, The Ten Virgins, The Christ-Centered Home, Written on Our Hearts, Love Life and See Good Days, The Promise of Enough, Becoming His, Keepers of What Matters Most, Making It Through the Middle, and The Gathering Home: Creating a Refuge of Goodness and Joy. She has co-written with David Butler: The Peter Potential, Maybe Today, and The Unexpected Deliverer.
She also writes the blog Multiply Goodness. She also writes on the life of the Savior Jesus Christ: Celebrating a Christ-Centered Easter: Seven Traditions to Lead Us Closer to Jesus Christ and Celebrating a Christ-Centered Christmas: Seven Traditions to Lead Us Closer to the Savior. She and David Butler host the YouTube (and podcast) "Don't Miss This," where they discuss the weekly "Come, Follow Me" scriptural readings.
Emily also posts "Inklings" studies on Instagram.
She speaks throughout the United States and is a popular presenter at Deseret Book’s Time Out for Women. In 2022, Utah Valley Magazine named her "Person of the Year" for her approach to connection amidst challenges.[1] "In the past, we've given this designation to governors, university presidents, and problem-solving mayors. But this year, when division is rampant and chasms of ideological differences are seismic, we wanted to feature a local leader who is showing us how to come together. Emily has become the go-to voice for uniting religiously diverse groups."[2]
She and her husband, Greg, are the parents of four children and two other children they have welcomed into their home, including NFL player Garett Bolles.
