Eric Dennis Huntsman is an educator, scholar, and writer currently working at Brigham Young University. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Huntsman was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and raised in upstate New York, western Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. He served as a missionary in the Thailand Bangkok Mission. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Classical Greek and Latin from BYU in 1990. He went on to receive his master’s and PhD in ancient history from the University of Pennsylvania.
