Gardiner Sisters Mormon Singers

The Gardiner Sisters—Hailey, Allie, Mandi, Lindsay, Abby, and Lucy—are a musical group from Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, whose YouTube Channel has millions of views.

The group began with older sisters Hailey, Allie, and Mandi when their mother taught them three-part harmony. They began singing at church, festivals, and eventually concerts. They set up their YouTube channel in 2007 and filled it with popular songs. Their parents uprooted the family in 2009 and moved to Los Angeles to help their daughters reach their musical goals. The family moved back to North Carolina after a record deal didn’t happen. The threesome kept adding videos to their YouTube channel and eventually added their younger sisters, Lindsay, Abby, and Lucy. In 2012, their video of One Direction’s song “Kiss You” went viral and now has over five million views. As of May 2015, their YouTube channel has more than 46 million total video views and over 480,000 subscribers.

All six sisters now sing in the videos they post, and they are careful to only share songs that they consider uplifting and positive. “We try and pick songs that reflect us and what we believe in.”[1] They are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “We call YouTube our mission. . . . We have access to homes, and doors are opened for us to come in all over the world through the Internet, which is really powerful, and we don’t take that for granted.”[2]

The sisters performed in their first sold-out ticketed concert in Los Angeles on August 29, 2014. They have released four EPs: Gardiner Sisters (2009), Merry Christmas (2013), L.O.V.E. (2014), and Better (2014).
