Hank Smith is an author, an assistant professor of ancient scripture, and favorite speaker at Especially for Youth, Time Out for Women, and BYU Education Week.

He is the coauthor of Armor Up and Suit Up (with such authors as Brad Wilcox, Laurel Christensen Day, Anthony Sweat, and John Bytheway) and wrote Be Happy: Simple Secrets to a Happier Life. He has also created CD/audiobooks such as Scripture Power, Unshaken, Unconquerable, Be of Good Cheer, Build Your House Upon a Rock, Wake Up from Your Phone, Fighting for and Not with Your Family, Break Up with the World, Thou Shalt Be Nice!, Be Who You Are, and Running Down Your Dreams.

He grew up in St. George, Utah, and earned his MBA from Utah State University and his PhD in educational leadership from Brigham Young University. He taught Seminary and Institute before joining the faculty at BYU. He also works with school districts and corporations to create high trust educational organizations.

He and his wife, Sara, are the parents of five children. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
