Jason Gray Mormon Actor

Jason L. Gray is an actor, sketch comedian, writer, and cast member of BYUtv’s Studio C.

Gray was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He is one of six sons. Gray served as a missionary to Argentina for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he is a member.

His interest in sketch comedy started while he was a senior in high school when he created a short video he called “Sean Connery’s 7 Tips to Dating for Fools.” He is a big fan of Batman so wrote and starred in a parody of “The Dark Knight” called “The Dateman.” He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2012. Gray intended to become a dentist, but while at BYU, he became involved with the "Divine Comedy" troupe, where he met fellow Studio C cast members. Matt Meese invited him to be part of Studio C at its inception. As of December 2014, the channel had more than 200,000 subscribers and 100 million views (as posted on Studio C’s Facebook page, December 10, 2014).

At Studio C, he is known for characters that he puts in out-of-the-ordinary situations, such as Batman, Snape, Gollum, Gandalf, and Darth Sidious.

Gray and his wife live in Utah County.
