Jean A. Stevens was called to be the first counselor in the Primary Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April, 2010. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, where she graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a teaching certificate. She has served as a member of the Primary general board and as a ward Relief Society president, counselor in a ward Primary presidency and Gospel Doctrine teacher.
