Jo Ann Skousen is a writer, editor, and educator. She has collaborated on numerous investment books with her husband, Mark Skousen, and is the associate editor of his "Forecasts & Strategies." She credits her parents, who put her in charge of the household budget when she was fourteen, for learning principles of hard work, frugality, saving, and debt avoidance.

She is the founding director of the Anthem Libertarian Film Festival, which is held annually in Las Vegas as part of the nonpartisan, libertarian Freedom Fest. She is also the entertainment editor for Liberty Magazine.

Skousen holds a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Florida and teaches English writing and literature at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York, where she is also the co-director of the Learning Center. She teaches in Mercy’s degree-seeking program for inmates at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. She has also taught at Rollins College in Florida and Chapman University in California.

She is the author of Matriarchs of the Messiah: Valiant Women in the Lineage of Jesus Christ.

She and her husband, Mark, are the parents of five children.
