Karl Engemann is a record executive and entertainment personal manager. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Engemann was born on August 3, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan. He served in the U. S. Army from 1951 to 1953, then went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Brigham Young University in 1958.

He turned down a business alliance with good friend John Huntsman, Sr. to pursue a career in the music industry. He was hired at Warner Brothers in 1958 as a records producer and produced the first two top ten single records for the label. In 1960 he moved on to Capitol Records as a producer and moved up the ranks to director of business affairs, Artist and Repertoire general manager, and A&R vice president.
