Katherine Kitterman is the author (with Naomi Watkins) of Champions of Change: 25 Women who Made History. The volume received honorable mention in the women’s studies category of the 2019 Foreword Indies Book of the Year awards.

She also coauthored Thinking Women: A Timeline of Suffrage in Utah with Rebekah Ryan Clark.

Kitterman is a PhD candidate in American History at American University in Washington, D.C. She holds a bachelor’s degree in German studies and international relations, and a Master of Public Policy degree, all from Brigham Young University.

She is a research assistant with Leavitt Partners and is also the Historical Director for Better Days 2020 in Utah. She was a Church History specialist in the Church History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked as a researcher on the Saints project at the Church History Library and taught as an adjunct professor for the Church History and Doctrine department at Brigham Young University.She was an academic fellow at the Smithsonian Institution and an intern at the Smithsonian Office of Policy and Analysis.
