Kathy Aiken has enjoyed a career in broadcast journalism. She began reporting with the Utah Jazz in 1987 and five years later joined the staff of KSL-TV as the first female sports anchor in Utah. She worked as a producer, reporter, and anchor for KSL Sports until September 2011. While at KSL, Aiken also anchored the Mormon Times program for over a year and worked on projects for the Mormon Channel radio program. She now works for Brigham Young University as both a sports reporter for BYUtv and as Newsroom Manager at the Universe, the student newspaper.

Aiken is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband, Larry, are the parents of three sons. She studied at the University of Utah.
