Keith Brigham McMullin was called as the Second Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in December 1995. He served until March 31, 2012, when he was given emeritus status. McMullin was then appointed to serve as president and chief executive officer of Deseret Management Corporation. Prior to joining Deseret Management Corporation, McMullin served on the corporation’s board of directors. He will retire December 1, 2023.

He married Carolyn Jean Gibbs in 1964, and together they have eight children. McMullin served as a missionary in Germany, and later in life was called to be a mission president there. He has also served as a ward bishop and as a stake president in the Church.
