Keith Brigham McMullin was called as the second couselor in the presiding bishopric of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in December, 1995. Elder McMullin was born on August 18, 1941, in St. George, Utah, to Lawrence McMullin and his wife Sarah Savage.
Bishop McMullin attended the University of Utah where he received a degree in banking and finance. This was preparatory to a career working for twenty years with Church Welfare Services Department, expanding humanitarian aid projects. He has also managed several small and family businesses and worked with Ford Motor Company as an investment and performance/cost analyst. [1]
He married Carolyn Jean Gibbs in 1964, and together they have eight children. Elder McMullin served an LDS mission in Germany, and later in life was called to be a Mission President there. He has also served as a ward bishop and as a Stake President in the Church.
