Kymberly Mellen: Mormon Actor

Kymberly Mellen is an actor, director and teacher. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music dance theatre from Brigham Young University and her master’s degree in acting from the Theatre School at DePaul University. She has taught at DePaul, BYU, Utah Valley University, the College of Lake County, and Pioneer High School. She is also an independent private acting and voice coach.

Mellen has performed in theater, musical theater, film, and commercials and has done voice-overs. She has appeared in numerous productions at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Pioneer Theatre Company, Steppenwolf Theatre, Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Jackson Hole Playhouse, and Sundance Theatre. She has directed “Lend Me a Tenor,” “The Greatest Love,” “As You Like It,” “The Turn of the Screw,” “Fefu and Her Friends,” and “The Forgotten Carols.”

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has appeared in productions such as Joseph: Prophet of the Restoration, and The Cookeville Miracle. She recorded voices for a BYU radio version of A Christmas Carol.

Mellen has also appeared in films The Poker House and The Unborn.
