Larry M. Gibson was called as first counselor in the Young Men's General Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) in April 2009.
He was born on February 26, 1947, in Boulder City, Nevada, to Robert Owen and Thais Miner Gibson. Elder Gibson was serving as a Stake President at the time of his call. He has served as a bishop, stake high councilor, and ward and stake Young Men's President. His professional career has been in the technology sector where he worked as vice president and chief information officer of Henry Schein, Inc., a Fortune 500 company.
