Larry S. Kacher Mormon leader

Larry S. Kacher is an emeritus General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sustained as a General Authority Seventy on April 5, 2014, and released on October 1, 2022.

He is a retired organizational development specialist, human resource development manager, and manager consultant.

Kacher was born on February 12, 1952, in Mankato, Minnesota, and was raised in Bloomington. He received both a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in organizational behavior from Brigham Young University. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ while a student at BYU.

Kacher has served in many other Church callings, including full-time missionary in French Polynesia, branch president in Belgium, high councilor, bishop, and president of the Geneva Switzerland Mission (2000–2003). He served as the first Area Seventy in the Middle East/Africa North Area (living in United Arab Emirates), where he was serving at the time of his call to the Second Quorum of the Seventy.

Kacher married Pauline Miller and they are the parents of six children.
