Larry Y. Wilson was a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sustained on April 2, 2011, and released on October 5, 2019, and designated emeritus status. He has served in the Church as a full-time missionary in Brazil, a bishop, stake president, and Area Seventy.

Wilson was born on December 31, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English and American literature from Harvard University and his master’s of business administration degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

During his professional career, her served as chief operating officer for Catholic Healthcare West in San Francisco, California, and as chief financial officer for the Northern California Region of Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, California. He was the senior vice president for financial and strategic planning for Kaiser’s national organization. He also worked as a principal with a management-consulting firm.

He and his wife, Lynda, are the parents of four children.
