Less Active members is the same as an [[inactive]] member in that it refers to a membersof the church who is not actively participating in the church. "Less Active" is a term individuals use in an effort to avoid the potentially offensive "inactive" reference.

Mormon Women Visiting Teaching
Less Active is a term used by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to describe an individual who is not fully active in his or her participation in the Church. This could range from only partial attendance of meetings and fulfillment of callings to being completely inactive.
