Maclain Nelson

Maclain Nelson is an actor, producer, director, and writer. In award-winning The Saratov Approach (2013), he costarred with Corbin Allred as well as served as coproducer. Nelson is the writer, director, and executive producer of Once I Was a Beehive (2015). He wrote and produced (with Stephen Shimek) Dudes & Dragons (2015). He played the lead role in The Sinking of the Santa Isabel, which was shown during the 2009 LDS Film Festival.

Nelson also performs improvisational comedy with Thrillionaires. He earned a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts studies from Brigham Young University. His wife is Clare Niederpruem.
