Manuel F. Acosta is a retired diplomat with the United States Department of State. He served in such countries as Djibouti, Panama, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. Acosta is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities, including presiding over the Costa Rica San Jose mission. He and his wife, Lydia, are the parents of four children.
