Margaret D. Nadauld

Margaret Dyreng Nadauld was the eleventh general president of the Young Women organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was born on November 21, 1944, in Manti, Utah, where she was reared. Her parents helped start the Mormon Miracle Pageant held annually in Manti. She attended both Snow College and Brigham Young University, where she earned a degree in speech and English. She taught English in high school, both in Salt Lake City and Boston. She married Stephen D. Nadauld in 1968; they are the parents of seven sons. She is the author of A Mother’s Influence: Raising Children to Change the World.

Nadauld has served as a ward Relief Society president and as a Young Women president (three times). She served on the Relief Society general board. After her release as Young Women general president in 2002, she served with her husband as he presided over the Switzerland Geneva Mission (2003 to 2006).

She served as president of the Utah chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and as vice president of the Utah chapter of American Mothers, Inc. She went with her husband to St. George, Utah, where he served as interim president of Dixie State College from March 2008 until he was inaugurated in March 2010. He retired at the end of the 2013–2014 academic year.
