Mormon Newsroom

The [www.mormonnewsroom.org Mormon Newsroom], owned and maintained by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, communicates official news and information about the Church to a broad audience comprised of the public, news media, and opinion leaders. Members of the Church are also welcome to use the site.

As an official news source, the Mormon Newsroom provides a platform for Church leaders to occasionally highlight public initiatives, declare public positions, and emphasize Church messages in a way specifically oriented to the general public.

Information on the site includes: official statements and news releases, infographics, commentaries, a blog, Church leadership biographies, and updates on Church events and activities as well as what members are doing in their communities around the world. The site features photo essays that illustrate the diversity of Latter-day Saints across the globe and the many other facets of their lifestyle. A “Getting It Right” feature highlights accurate and fair portrayals of the Church in news reports and blogs, while correcting inaccuracies.

The Mormon Newsroom can be followed on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, YouTube, and RSS.
